A Nordic way of working for advertising creation

Nordic Advertising Creation Framework FY2026–2027

Where are we now?

Background

Budgets are smaller than before. During FY2025–2026, most ad campaigns were run with existing material. For this year, the ambition is to update more — and at the same time start creating (or sense-checking) ads that are more aligned with the playbook findings.

What does this mean?

  • Work more cost-efficiently.
  • Create greater predictability in budgets and timelines.
  • Reduce unnecessary back-and-forth.
  • Make it easy for everyone involved to know their part.
  • Set clear timeline expectations from the start, with room for reviews and iterations.
  • Improve creative consistency across the Nordic and Baltic markets.

What is next?

Nordic alignment: thinking bigger together

Local tactical campaigns stay important — and on top of that, we want to grow the number of Nordic-level initiatives. Planning together where it makes sense gives us stronger ideas, more consistency, and better value for the budget.

Local campaigns remain important

For example

  • Cashback promotions
  • Retailer-specific activations
  • Tactical seasonal pushes
  • Market-specific offers

Room to grow Nordic campaigns

For example

  • Brand campaigns
  • Product launches (no new launches planned for FY26–27)
  • Awareness initiatives
  • Category-building activities

Planning together at a Nordic level can:

  • Reduce duplicated effort across markets.
  • Improve consistency in messaging and visuals.
  • Create economies of scale.
  • Enable stronger creative ideas.
  • Deliver better return on marketing investment.

What is needed to succeed?

Several important building blocks are already in place:

  • Strong market understanding from local marketing leads
  • Valuable insights from the Nordic playbook
  • Existing creative assets and learnings

To take the next step, we need:

Ways of working

A shared process and setup that lets us turn around requests fast — clear intake, clear roles, and the right tools in place so nothing waits on a missing brief or approval chain.

Nordic visual direction

A shared creative framework so assets across markets look and feel more alike — anchored in the European brand direction, with room for local flex.

Continuous development

Quarterly performance marketing check-ins to share results and learnings across markets — what worked, what didn't, and how it shapes the next wave.

How will it work in practice?

Three advertising processes

Three distinct processes — so we can hit the notes for quick refreshes, new local campaigns, and bigger, more ambitious Nordic campaigns.

These are examples to illustrate how we'd work — actual steps, owners, and timings will be tailored per project.

Process 1

Asset refresh & adaptation

For existing campaigns requiring minor updates — updating visuals, adapting formats, refreshing copy, or creating additional sizes and versions.

  1. 1
    Request submitted
    Panasonic

Panasonic submits request to Camilla Sjögren and Netta Metsäaho. E.g. "Hey, I have these assets we had in our campaign before — would like to change the image and video to something refreshed, and update the copy a little to go hand in hand with the new image and video."

  2. 2
    Scope & estimate
    Miltton1 day

Within one working day, Miltton provides initial scope, estimated hours, estimated cost, and proposed timeline. E.g. "This looks like approximately 8 hours of work — 8h × €160/h = €1,280. We can deliver a first version by the end of the week and final assets within two working days after feedback."

  3. 3
    Approval or comments to scope
    Panasonic0–2 days
  4. 4
    First version delivered
    Miltton1–2 days
  5. 5
    Panasonic feedback
    Panasonic1–2 days
  6. 6
    Updated version delivered
    Miltton1–2 days
  7. 7

  8. 8

    Miltton0–1 days
  9. 9
    Campaign setup and launch
    Panasonic0–1 day

Total: ~8–10 days

Process 2

New local campaign

For new local campaigns — idea creation aligned with the Panasonic playbook, visual development, copy, and final assets ready for launch.

  1. 1
    Brief submitted
    Panasonic

Panasonic submits brief to Camilla Sjögren and Netta Metsäaho. E.g. "We want a new local campaign for the Nordic market launch — here are the objectives, target audience, key messages, and channels."

  2. 2
Scope & estimate (incl. playbook alignment)
    Miltton1–3 days

Within 1–3 working days, Miltton aligns the brief with the Panasonic playbook and provides initial scope, estimated hours, estimated cost, and proposed timeline.

  3. 3
    Approval or comments to scope
    Panasonic0–2 days
  4. 4

    Miltton5–7 days

Idea development and creative concept proposal, building on the playbook.

  5. 5
